Recent Stitches
We have a lot to catch up on! But for now I'll share these recent pieces. It really never gets old seeing all the pieces together. I get all excited and proud of them. A few of these are for weddings, new born babies and little ones, love tokens and anniversary presents.
So thankful to be able to make these! Thank you to all of you for supporting my shop & for reading this lil' blog of mine. It means the world to me...

Lots of wedding and anniversary pieces are being stitched up lately. I've been stitching on the train, on the floor of my studio playing with a tiny kitten, while out of town friends visited. I sneak it in where I can.
And did I mention that Stitched Gifts is featured in the current issue of Country Living Magazine? Yeah, soooo exciting! I've tried to find a copy, but all the bodegas around me don't carry it. It's all gossip mags and then the random "Every Dog" or "Shoeaholic", huh? Torture, but as soon as I get my mits on a copy I'll be sharing it loud & proud!
More to share soon...

Some of the custom work to leave my studio lately. The piece above is for a wedding ceremony that will take place on a giant redwood tree stump!! Sounds perfect to me. The bride to be asked for some additional pine cones to be added in.
Baby pieces for one of my very favorite repeat customers, who knows a lot of babies!
and a just because little heart...
Hope you're having a great week so far!

Lately, I've been juggling so much- orders, promoting my book, wholesale orders and while its all so great I'm a bit overwhelmed. One thing that keeps me going as a small batch maker of bespoke goods is finishing a project and mailing it off. It feels so good to know that the things I make will have another life and story after they leave me. Corny, as it sounds it's a very fulfilling part of what I do and who doesn't love crossing things off their to-do list too?!
These gray handkerchiefs are for the groomsmen in a wedding party. The bride and groom picked all the colors and each is different- such a fun, custom gift...
And had to share this one of Bastian. His goofy face & little lips! He always makes the weirdest faces. Love him...

This weekend was so beautiful, Spring has finally come! I'd planned to work non-stop, but there was just no way. Can not resist a Brooklyn Spring day. Had to play in the sun and soak in that vitamin D.
I've been so behind on work that I don't feel like I'll ever catch up. So it feels so good to cross off some of the projects on my to do list. I love sending out my finished pieces. Definitely get a little high from the small accomplishment. These pieces here are gifts for new babies, and anniversaries.
Hope you had a great weekend! Where'd the sun go though? Come back & stay forever sun...
Rencent Stitches: AC/DC inspired embroidery

Really happy to have made this custom handkerchief for a very cool couple. It was definitely something new for me. Custom requests are great, because you get to make things you'd never have otherwise thought of, push your skill set, it can lead to more ideas and future projects...
What have you been making? Send me link, would love to check it out...

Lots of new stitches to share today. First, my favorite stars pieces, which are made from sky maps of specific nights. These ones are from a wedding set stitched after the stars above on the wedding night, and the bride gave these pieces to her bridesmaids and mother.

A set of baby pieces. I loved that these tiny ladies have such regal names...
& here are some of the Valenitine's mini custom hearts I sent out. The lowercase "d + j" piece was my favorite. It had a sweet face of it's own. I always seem to anthropomorphize the hearts into little faces with personalities.
What have you been working on lately? Send me a link I'd love to see...

The heart factory (aka my hands) keeps chugging along. The top one was is for a new baby girl & speaking of babies, here are some pieces I've made for wee ones. Just opened a new "Baby" section in my shop...
I'm in love with these old timey names for new babies. There's just something about a little girl named Hazel or Greta, and a little boy named Soren. Got any favorite kid names?

I had completed another one way back in June only to realize I forgot a little something - the M! Oh, I was so mad at myself for not "seeing" the mistake until it was all finished. All that time wasted. Anyone want a sampler missing an M?
I love being able to use my mom as a had model. She's got cinnamon skin and pretty nails. Just sent these hearts out for an anniversary and just because....
