MR loves....

I get stupid happy to see how people use the things I make. Holly, Ruth, and Courtney totally made my day by sharing these pics with me.

Holly used my arrow pins for her D.I.Y escort cards. Such a great idea. You can see more of her beautiful wedding on her blog.

And super hottie Ruth, all the way from Belgium, sent me this pic of her cross pins in her feedback! It looks good on you grrrl....

And here's a custom, custom heart I made for Courtney + Zach for their engagement photos. The orange heart was all her idea, and I love the way it came out. These pictures are so nice too (more here). Super cute couple!

Thanks so much for making my day ladies!!

MR + DIY Wedding...

So happy to share these pictures, which come from a lovely couple who used a Message in a Bottle Kit to write their vows out and then threw the tiny glass corked bottle into the ocean.  Very romantical!! Many, many thanks to Jodi & Cindy for sending me these pictures- look at that water! Don't you want to jump in!?

Find me...

....at Purl Sohooo!!

So happy to see the first set of Zodiac Embroidery Kits at Purl Soho! They don't mess around- best craft store in NY for sewing/knitting/and fancy beautiful fabrics.  And the Purl Bee, their blog, has a such a tight aesthetic, awesome tutorials, and challenging projects.

If you visit NY you gotta check out Purl!!

MR loves blood...

Mrs. Bloodmilk, who makes jewelry I covet, linked me in this picture & I had to share. I love seeing a peek into her space and where the piece I embroidered for her now lives. I spy with my little eye some Charmaine Oliva & Ellen von Unwerth too.

Heres the winking sample I made for her & the original piece...

Thanks so much for sharing Jess!

Now seriously you must, really right now, check out the BloodMilk blog- it's full of the best finds, surreal photographs, and great writing... go!

Happy weekend to you!

MR in real life...

few things are better for me as a maker than to see the things I make in real life. That and hearing people's stories and making them happy are so important to me. I was lucky enough to stumble across the beautiful photographs of Shannon Michele's wedding. I made this embroidery piece for her to celebrate the occasion...

click the image to go to shannon's flickr and check out the full post with lots of lovely images of the handsome couple here.  It's so nice seeing these pieces outside of my studio, where they will have a whole new life, new stories and become part of a families history...
